The addon itself is pretty solid and won't just "not work" if you have your controller set up correctly. The front page clearly states that WoW does not support controller input out of the box.

I need information on what software you're using to determine whether it's a problem with the addon or the software itself. If you just say "it doesn't work", I can't really help you. but it is fine I got it to work without the add-on if you don't want to help just say that. Well that would be pretty mean to do I downloaded Joystick Mapper but it ends up staffing me with every sidewards movement. But it's probably necessary if your cursor runs off every now and then. The trade-off from increasing the deadzone is that you have to move the stick a little bit more and you lose some of the precision. I'll stop supporting DS4Windows soon, since DS4ConsolePort has the right settings out of the gate and is much easier to deal with. The blue dot needs to rest comfortably within the boundaries of the red circle for it to behave properly. If you scroll down and look at DS4ConsolePort, you can see the deadzone value in the bottom right corner, and as you can see, my right stick tends to drift slightly to the left.

On a mac right now so can't screenshot where to fix it in DS4Windows, but you'll have to edit the profile. With wear and tear, the controller loses its ability to snap the stick back to its fully upright position. You should probably up the value of the deadzone on the right stick. I've never noticed it with other games and I use my controller daily, but just thought I'd give a heads up in case it's something on your end.Īpologies in advance if it's not possible for it to be on your end since I don't know a thing about modding and coding.Ĭan't move the camera with code, it's all your controller (or actually, it's the profile). One issue I came across though, and this could definitely be a DS4Windows issue, or it could be my DS4 since they're build quality is garbage, but often times the camera drifts off to the right on it's own. Spent a few hours messing with it today and it's great. Just wanted to thank you for this add on, it's really incredible. It can be customized to your own liking, and with a bit of know-how, you can integrate other addons to work with the cursor. It is controlled by the D-pad for moving and the right-hand buttons to left and right click. It snaps to clickable and interactive objects across the interface. The virtual cursor is a replacement for the mouse when using the interface. By keeping the mouse cursor centered on screen, it's easy to pick up items, loot mobs and target things in melee range. Mouse behaviour can be customized in the interface options to suit your own playstyle.
On top of this, it will NOT interfere with your normal keyboard and mouse setup, leaving you to choose which way you want to play the game without having to rebind and reconfigure every time you change peripherals. Using the addon, you should be able to effortlessly do the same tasks with a controller as you would with a mouse and keyboard. Instead of resorting to macros and gimmicks to make the setup viable, this addon fundamentally changes how the game works.

There are a lot of tutorials and videos on how to set up your controller for World of Warcraft, but the most game-breaking part about all of them is how they in no way contribute to an easy game experience. ConsolePort will give you a handful of nifty features in order to let you play the game on a controller - without inconvenience.
